Book II-
The Stone of Destiny

In 1815, the great Scottish novelist Sir Walter Scott
convinced the Prince of Wales to allow him to do a
search of the storerooms and chambers below
Edinburgh Castle to search for the regalia of the
Scottish monarchy that had been lost for more than
a century.  Scott did find the sword, scepter, and
crown in a dilapidated old chest.  History tells us
that much. But, what else was found that day?
Jacob will discover the ancient secrets below
Edinburgh castle in a mission fraught with intrigue
and danger and that will bring him terrible new
knowledge and greater power than he could imagine.

More strange professors?  A pug dog with a secret
of his own? A secret society of Bearers and
Keepers? New enemies and old friends in the
catacombs beneath the streets of Edinburgh,
Scotland?

Is the stone on display in Edinburgh castle really
Lia Fail--the Stone of Destiny--upon which Jacob of
Genesis slept when he dreamt of the Stairway to
Heaven thousands of years ago?  If so, how did it
get to Scotland from the Middle East?  If not,
where is it and why is Jacob's fate wrapped up with
the fate of this stone and the new one that adorns
his finger?
